Brett is a director of photography based in Paris. After studying film at Boston University and shooting several short films that screened at international film festivals, he began his career photographing independent feature films in New York City. The Safdie Brothers’ The Pleasure of Being Robbed and Daddy Longlegs premiered at Cannes Director’s Fortnight and the Civil War-set Men Go to Battle earned Brett a spot in The New Yorker’s Top 5 Cinematography of the Year. His recent work includes Stranger Things Seasons 4 & 5, the Emmy-award-winning series American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders for Netflix, the upcoming Searchlight thriller Ready or Not: Hide and Seek, Scream VI for Paramount, and Scott Derrickson’s The Black Phone for Blumhouse/Universal.
